5 Ways to Automate Your Website

automate your website

A website can be a really useful tool for your business. You can use it to sell your products, build your community and increase your credibility by sharing valuable information. You can even automate your website, so it can work hard for you while you sleep. Here are just a few ways you can automate your website:

  1. Add a scheduler
Instead of having people e-mail you to book a session, add a scheduler to your website. You can eliminate a lot of the back and forth by choosing the hours you’re available and letting your clients choose a slot that works for them. Once the slot is selected it will disappear from your calendar, so you won’t accidentally overbook yourself.

There are plenty of free and low cost options available, so it doesn’t have to be a huge investment for you. To get started, check out and, we’ve had good experiences with both.

Depending on the software you can integrate it with your website or you can simply include a link to your scheduling page.

  1. Back up your website
With you can set up daily or real time backups for your website, so you don’t have to worry about it.
  2. Grow your list
Sign up for an e-mail marketing service like MailChimp and you can add a form to your website to start collecting e-mails from your visitors. You can even automate a welcome e-mail with a subscriber bonus like a Beginner’s Guide to SEO

  3. Schedule your posts
Have tons of ideas for content but never have the time to put it out there? Choose one day to create multiple posts and you can set them to publish at specified times.
  4. Install a shopping cart
Using plugins like WooCommerce or Ecwid allows you to sell digital products on your website and have the files delivered automatically after purchase.

A few simple tweaks can save you a ton of time and effort, and most don’t even cost you a dime!

  • I’m all for automation on my blog! My goal is to spend 2 hours a day on my blog and the rest with my family and checking in on social media when I have a few minutes. Wouldn’t that be lovely? 🙂 Right now, it’s more like 6-8 hours a day as I’m during my launch phase.
